Our Recommendation: ❌ Vote NO on both Proposition A and Proposition B
Amount: $191.8 million
Purpose: Redevelop Frost Bank Center and Freeman Coliseum into year-round livestock and rodeo facilities
Amount: $311 million (county portion of $1.3 billion total)
Purpose: Fund new downtown arena for San Antonio Spurs basketball team
Increases hotel and rental car taxes that disproportionately affect lower and middle-class taxpayers who travel for work or family needs.
Adds $503 million in new debt over 30 years, putting our city and county deeper into financial obligations.
This is not the right time for such massive spending. Let's wait until our local economy is stronger and growing.
This is big business interests versus the taxpayers - we the people deserve better than subsidizing professional sports teams.
San Antonio residents are already heavily taxed. We need relief, not more taxes for luxury sports facilities.
Amount: $200 million
Purpose: School facility improvements and technology upgrades
Amount: $50 million
Purpose: Campus expansion and program development
